The only non-trivial parts are the Marvell ethernet card and ATI X600 video card. I skipped the smart cards reader, pcmcia, modem etc...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I installed ubuntu dapper drake (flight 6). The problems were solved simply by:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; - Installing the fglrx driver for X11 hardware acceleration via apt-get&lt;br /&gt; - Enabling the newer sky2 module for the marvell ethernet in /etc/modules&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And ah! it took me more time to figure out for the wifi... The ipw2200 is automatically recognized, yet there is a small switch on the front of the laptop... The setgid properties allow for inheritage of the group when creating folders/files within.
